Tough Dog 50mm raised rear leaf springs for the Toyota LandCruiser 78/79 Series, sold per pair. The same spring carries a different constant rating on the single cab (10/1999-on) vs the heavier dual cab (2012-on) - check the option labels. Add the fitment hardware below; the FS781XHD requires the 290mm TDUB-038 U-bolts and the TDSB-012 rear sway bar.
These are progressive-rate packs – every leaf sits in contact along its full length with the leaf above, which is what keeps the unladen ride tolerable on a working ute.
Two-stage packs carry a lighter primary stage for everyday ride quality, with heavier second-stage leaves that only come into play as the load goes on – that's what stops the rear sagging with a canopy, tools or a camper on the back. Choose the rating by the constant load the vehicle carries, counting only permanent weight.
The matching U-bolts, greasable shackles and pins, and bush kits are available from the option dropdowns on this page – if the originals have been on since new, replace them while the pack is out rather than reusing stretched U-bolts.
Doing the whole vehicle at once? We also stock the matching TD-R Remote Reservoir Rear Shocks and TD-R Front Coil Springs for the Toyota LandCruiser 78/79 Series.
Match them with Tough Dog rear shocks.

The TDSP-015 handbrake relocation bracket must be fitted with BMX or TDR rear shocks. The TDSP-014 brake bias bracket is required on vehicles BEFORE 01/2017 only.
The listed price covers both sides – always replace left and right together so the axle is evenly damped and sprung. It's a bolt-in job for a competent home mechanic or any workshop; check bushes, mounts and brake-line slack while everything is apart.
