Description

The Bilstein Front Shock Absorber Pair suits the Ford Everest Next-Gen (PXIII, 2022-ON) and uses monotube gas-pressure technology with velocity-sensitive damping to control body movement at standard ride height. This direct OE-replacement design suits both the 2.0L Bi-Turbo and 3.0L V6 turbo-diesel variants, keeping damping consistent whether you're towing a van or running loaded for a remote trip. Pair it with our coil springs range if you're planning a height change later on. In stock in Australia with Bilstein manufacturer warranty and fitment support from our team.

Features

Key Features & Performance Benefits

  • Monotube gas-pressure construction separates oil and gas internally, reducing foaming and fade during sustained damping cycles
  • Velocity-sensitive damping automatically firms up compression and rebound as shaft speed increases, useful over corrugations and mid-corner bumps
  • Direct-fit replacement for the Ford Everest Next-Gen's factory front shock mounts — no change to ride height, standard fitment stays standard
  • Suits both the 2.0L Bi-Turbo four-cylinder and 3.0L V6 turbo-diesel Everest Next-Gen variants
  • Zinc-plated shock body and quality seals help resist corrosion in coastal and outback driving conditions
  • Consistent damping under sustained highway towing loads, reducing the wallow that can develop in worn factory shocks
  • Pairs with our shock absorber range at the rear for a matched front and rear set
  • Sold and dispatched from Australian stock with Bilstein manufacturer warranty support

Spring Rate Selection Guide

These front shocks are valved to suit the Everest Next-Gen's factory ride height and standard front spring rate. If you're planning raised coil springs or a load-rated front spring for a bull bar, winch or long-range fuel tank, talk to our team first — shock valving needs to be matched to the spring rate and constant front-end load. Common front accessories that add constant load include steel bull bars, driving light bars and winches, and heavier combinations may call for a firmer spring alongside this shock pair rather than a straight swap.

Installation & Setup

Fitting is a bolt-in job manageable by an experienced DIY installer with basic hand tools, though professional fitment is recommended given the torque specs on the strut and mounting bolts. A wheel alignment is mandatory after installation to bring camber and toe back within factory tolerance. Allow a 500km bedding-in period for the shock oil and seals to settle into normal operating temperature and damping feel. If you're also addressing geometry at a different ride height down the track, look at our control arm upgrades alongside this shock pair.

Why Choose Bilstein?

Bilstein has built monotube shock absorbers in Germany for more than 60 years and supplies OE-fitment programs to several 4WD manufacturers. Their damping technology focuses on control under towing and load, which suits the Everest Next-Gen's role as a family tourer and tow vehicle. Every pair sold through us is backed by a Bilstein manufacturer warranty — view the full Bilstein range for rear shocks and other applications.

Who Is This For?

This front shock pair suits Everest Next-Gen owners who want to restore or improve factory damping control for touring, caravan towing or daily commuting without changing ride height. Tradespeople carrying tool and equipment loads, and tourers running a bull bar and driving lights, benefit from steadier front-end control under sustained load. If you're regularly carrying variable loads, also look at our airbag suspension options to manage rear sag.

These Bilstein front shocks are dispatched from Australian stock, and our team can confirm fitment against your Everest Next-Gen's build plate before you order. If you're planning a height change alongside this shock upgrade, browse our full lift kit range or get in touch for tailored advice.

FAQs

This Bilstein front shock pair is a direct-fit for the Ford Everest Next-Gen, known as PXIII, built from 2022 onwards. It suits both the 2.0L Bi-Turbo four-cylinder and 3.0L V6 turbo-diesel drivetrains. It does not suit the earlier Everest UA generation, which uses a different front shock mount. If you're unsure which generation you have, our team can confirm fitment from your VIN or build plate.

This front shock pair is a standard-height replacement — it does not raise your Everest Next-Gen's ride height. It's designed to restore or improve factory damping control at the existing ride height, not lift the vehicle. If you want a height increase, look at our dedicated lift kit range which pairs raised springs with matched shocks. Talk to our team if you want to combine a lift with Bilstein damping.

You receive 2 x Bilstein front shock absorbers with monotube gas-pressure construction, plus mounting hardware and bushes fitted to OE specification. Rear shocks, coil springs and control arms are not included and are sold separately. Everything in the pack is sized for a direct bolt-in fit to the Everest Next-Gen's factory front shock towers.

Yes. The monotube gas-pressure design with velocity-sensitive damping is built to hold consistent compression and rebound control under sustained load, which is exactly what caravan and trailer towing demands. Fade-free damping helps prevent the front end from wallowing on long highway tows. For rear-end sag under a heavy tow ball load, pair this with our airbag suspension range.

Not for this shock pair on its own — it's a standard-height replacement, so factory control arm geometry stays correct. If you later fit raised springs or a lift kit alongside these shocks, upgraded control arms help correct suspension geometry and CV joint angles at the new ride height. Our team can advise whether control arms are needed based on your final setup.

Yes, a wheel alignment is required after installing any front shock absorbers. Even a straight shock swap can shift camber and toe slightly once the vehicle settles on the new units. We recommend getting an alignment done immediately after fitment and again after the 500km bedding-in period.

This listing is for the shock absorbers only, so spring rate is a separate decision. If you're running a bull bar, winch or long-range fuel tank on your Everest Next-Gen, a load-rated front coil spring from our coil springs range can be matched to this shock pair. Speak to our team about your accessory load before choosing a spring rate to keep damping and spring rate balanced.

This shock pair doesn't change ride height, so tyre clearance stays the same as factory. If you want to run larger tyres, you'll need a lift kit with raised springs rather than a shock-only swap. Our team can recommend a lift height and spring combination to suit the tyre size you're planning.

This Bilstein front shock pair is covered by a Bilstein manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. We stock this pair locally in Australia, so warranty support and replacement parts are handled without waiting on overseas freight. Contact our team if you need warranty details specific to your purchase.

Yes. The velocity-sensitive damping is tuned to stay compliant over small bumps and joins at daily driving speeds, while firming up under harder inputs like braking or towing. Many Everest Next-Gen owners fit this pair simply to restore factory-fresh ride quality once the original shocks have worn. It's a comfortable daily driver setup, not a firmed-up off-road-only tune.
