Rear leaf springs are a bolt-on job for an experienced DIY mechanic with a hoist and routine work for any suspension workshop. A wheel alignment is required afterwards because ride height changes front geometry. Replacing U-bolts and bushes at the same time is strongly recommended — the originals are stretched to yield on installation and old bushes cause squeaks and premature wear.
