The Diff Drop Kit (part number DDLC200) is a diff drop kit engineered for Landcruiser 200 Series w/IFS. Manufactured by Roadsafe, one of Australia's longest-standing 4WD steering and suspension specialists, it is a direct-fit part for the listed vehicles.
The Roadsafe IFS Diff Drop Kits are application specific and supplied complete to get the job done. The bolt-on kit corrects the geometry on the front driveshaft and CVs, lowering the front diff by approx. 25mm, thus reducing the angles the CV joints need to operate on and avoiding the expensive replacements of CV and boots.
When lifting IFS Vehicles, the Constant Velocity (CV) joints are put on an increased angle. This increased angle of the CV joint during operation can accelerate the wear on the joint and put additional stress on the CV boots, leading to splitting and eventually premature failure of the CV. This wear is accelerated further if larger (wider) wheels and tyres are fitted.

When an independent front suspension 4WD is lifted, the differential stays put while the wheels sit lower — steepening the CV shaft angle at ride height. The joints then run near the edge of their articulation constantly, accelerating wear and, at full droop, risking binding. A diff drop kit lowers the front differential mounting points, bringing the CV shafts back toward their designed operating angle.
It is the standard companion to taller IFS lifts and one of the best insurance policies for CV longevity.
