Tough Dog raised front coil springs for the Isuzu D-MAX RT (May 2012 - August 2020), delivering approximately 40mm of lift. Sold per pair. Choose the rate for your front-end weight: no accessories, steel bar, or steel bar and winch.
These are Australian-designed and manufactured springs in micro-alloyed spring steel. Each coil is shot-peened, scragged and load-tested before it leaves the factory, and the hot-forming process is what lets them hold their free height under sustained load.
Pick the rate for the weight the vehicle actually carries, not the weight you'd like it to carry – and count only permanent accessories and loads (bar, winch, drawers, long-range tank) when choosing. A spring that's too firm for an unloaded vehicle rides worse than the factory item; one that's too soft sags the moment you load up.
Fit springs in pairs per axle, and book a wheel alignment after any change in ride height. It's also worth checking brake-line slack and bump-stop condition while the suspension is apart.

Choose the spring that matches what is permanently fitted to the vehicle, such as a steel bull bar or a bar and winch. The heavier option carries that extra weight at the intended ride height; fitted to a vehicle without the accessories it will sit high and ride firm.

Front coil springs are fitted with the strut removed and the spring compressed to swap it onto the strut, so this is a job for a workshop or an experienced fitter with a proper spring compressor. Fit both sides, torque the strut top and lower mounts to spec, then have a wheel alignment done, which is essential after any change in front ride height. Raised springs need shock absorbers with the correct extended length for the new ride height. In most states a suspension lift of up to 50 mm is allowed without certification under VSB14; larger lifts can require engineering approval, so check the rules for your state.

The listed price covers both sides – always replace left and right together so the axle is evenly damped and sprung. It's a bolt-in job for a competent home mechanic or any workshop; check bushes, mounts and brake-line slack while everything is apart.
A moderate suspension lift is generally acceptable in most Australian states, but the allowed total lift and whether certification is needed differ between states and change over time – so always confirm with your state’s transport authority before modifying. Yes. The price covers both Tough Dog springs, one for each side.
If you are changing ride height, yes. Shocks are built for a specific travel range, and a lift moves the axle outside the factory shock's range. If you are replacing springs at standard height, existing shocks in good condition can stay.
