The Radius Arm Spacer Washer (part number PATRAMBC) is a radius arm hardware engineered for Patrol GQ-GU w/Coil Front. Manufactured by Roadsafe, one of Australia's longest-standing 4WD steering and suspension specialists, it is a direct-fit part for the listed vehicles.

Radius Arm Spacers
Designed to fit GQ and GU Patrols with coil fronts, the Roadsafe Radius Arm Spacer Kit is primarily used to 'push' the front diff forward (approx. 15mm) to give better clearance for larger tyres so they don't hit the front mud flaps and guards. Another common issues with the Patrols is for the standard radius arm washers to bend following excessive impacts, which can result in premature failure of the arm. Bigger tyres also generally means bigger shocks with longer travel. This increase in travel can put additional stress on the rear radius arm rubber bushings, causing them to distort and become dislodged. The high tensile Roadsafe radius arm spacers, being stronger than standard washers, resist bending and aid in radius arm longevity.
The Roadsafe radius arm spacers are also designed in such a way as to 'cup' the rubber bushings, preventing them from being dislodged, resulting in improved bushing longevity. It is recommended that you check the clearance from your diff pumpkin to your panhard rod, at full compression, before and after fitting radius arm spacers. The Panhard Rod and Diff Pumpkin run very close on some GU Patrols depending upon other suspension work that has been done on the vehicle. Pushing the diff forward with the spacers can result in the panhard rod making contact with the diff or the front radius arm, affecting the articulation of the panhard, which can place additional stress on the Panhard welds and brackets, leading to premature failure. On coil sprung live-axle front ends, radius arms locate the axle fore-aft and control caster. This hardware — spacer washers, mount bushings and related components — fine-tunes radius arm geometry on lifted vehicles: pushing the axle forward to centre the tyre in the guard and refining bush preload after lift-induced rotation.
