Tough Dog rear coil springs for the Suzuki Jimny XL JB74 5-door (09/2023 onwards), sold per pair. Pick your lift height - 40mm (TDC1108) or 60mm (TDC1005).
The TDSP-037 bump stop spacer kit is required with every lift - add it below. A coil insert airbag kit is available for the 40mm springs.
Tough Dog coils are designed and made in Australia from micro-alloyed spring steel – shot-peened, scragged and load-tested, and hot-formed on precision mandrels so the spring keeps its height and rate after years of heavy loading.
Pick the rate for the weight the vehicle actually carries, not the weight you'd like it to carry – and count only permanent accessories and loads (bar, winch, drawers, long-range tank) when choosing. A spring that's too firm for an unloaded vehicle rides worse than the factory item; one that's too soft sags the moment you load up.
Fit springs in pairs per axle, and book a wheel alignment after any change in ride height. It's also worth checking brake-line slack and bump-stop condition while the suspension is apart.

Choose the spring that matches what is permanently fitted to the vehicle, such as a steel bull bar or a bar and winch. The heavier option carries that extra weight at the intended ride height; fitted to a vehicle without the accessories it will sit high and ride firm.

Rear coil springs are changed with the axle supported and the lower shock mount unbolted so the axle can drop far enough to slip the old spring out. Check brake hoses, ABS leads and the breather have enough slack at full droop, especially with raised springs, and fit both sides together. Raised springs need shock absorbers with the correct extended length for the new ride height. In most states a suspension lift of up to 50 mm is allowed without certification under VSB14; larger lifts can require engineering approval, so check the rules for your state.

Tough Dog REQUIRES castor correction on 60mm lifted Jimny XLs - either castor correction bushes (TDUK-063) with the TDSP-018 crossmember drop kit, or radius arms (TDCA-017) with the TDSP-038 drop kit - plus extended brake hoses (TDBH-401 rubber or TDBH-402 braided), the adjustable panhard rods and ABS relocation. Contact us to spec the full 60mm package.
Yes - Tough Dog requires the rear extended rubber brake hose kit (TDBH-404) on 40mm lifts, and the 4x extended hose kit (TDBH-401 rubber or TDBH-402 braided) on 60mm lifts. Contact us to add them to your order.
The listed price covers both sides – always replace left and right together so the axle is evenly damped and sprung. It's a bolt-in job for a competent home mechanic or any workshop; check bushes, mounts and brake-line slack while everything is apart.
Yes. The price covers both Tough Dog springs, one for each side.
If you are changing ride height, yes. Shocks are built for a specific travel range, and a lift moves the axle outside the factory shock's range. If you are replacing springs at standard height, existing shocks in good condition can stay.
