Tough Dog front struts for the Nissan Patrol Y62 without HBMC (2013 onwards), sold per pair. Strut only - reuses your coil and strut top - suiting standard height up to 40mm of lift.
Foam Cell (FC404750), 9-position 40mm Adjustable (BM404750), or the big-bore 45mm Adjustable (BMX454750).
These are bare strut cartridges for the Nissan Patrol Y62 2013-On – the damper only, for vehicles where the existing coils and strut tops are staying. If your coils are original or sagging, look at the assembled option instead so the whole corner goes back together fresh.
The Foam Cell is Tough Dog's twin-tube workhorse: a microcellular foam insert takes the place of the usual air gap inside the shock body, so the oil can't foam up as heat builds and the damping stays consistent on long corrugated stretches. The 40mm Adjustable adds 9-stage adjustable valving – run it softer for unloaded around-town driving, then firm it up when the vehicle is loaded for touring, without taking anything apart. The 45mm big-bore Adjustable carries more oil in a larger body with the same 9-stage adjustment, aimed at vehicles that work harder or carry weight more often.
Sold as a pair. Strut replacement disturbs the front geometry, so a wheel alignment afterwards is part of the job.

Yes - Tough Dog specifies the BMX454750 45mm Adjustable strut must only be used with the TDC791L or TDC791HL coil springs (see our Y62 front coils listing).
These suit the following applications: Nissan Patrol Y62 - Without Hydraulic Body Motion Control 2013 - On. Check your build date and variant against the fitment table on this page – if you're not certain, contact us with your rego or VIN details and we'll confirm fitment before you order.
Foam Cell is the all-round choice for touring – the foam insert stops the oil aerating so damping stays consistent on corrugations. Step up to the 9-stage Adjustable if the vehicle swings between unloaded weekdays and loaded trips and you want to tune the damping to match, or to the bigger-bore options if it works hard, hot and heavy most of the time.
The listed price covers both sides – always replace left and right together so the axle is evenly damped and sprung. Book a wheel alignment straight after fitting: any change to the front end moves camber and castor enough to affect steering and tyre wear.
