The Airbag Man Helper Kit for the Isuzu D-MAX (2007 - mid 2012), Holden Colorado RC V6 & 4x4 (2008-2012) and Holden Rodeo RA V6 & 4x4 (2003-2008) stops rear-end sag under load, mounting heavy-duty rubber airbags between the rear leaf springs and chassis. These three utes share the same rear-end design, so Airbag Man specifies the same kit across all of them. Choose Standard Height (RR4527) for a vehicle at factory height or Raised 50mm (RR4748) for lifted vehicles. Backed by a lifetime manufacturer's warranty on the airbags, in stock in Australia with expert fitment support.
Airbag Man helper kits use heavy-duty rubber bellows that mount between the chassis and the leaf pack – add air when the load goes on to bring the vehicle back level, then let it out and the standard springs carry on exactly as before. Because each side inflates independently, you can also correct for an off-centre load like a slide-on or water tank.
They shine when the load keeps changing – a van on the towball some weekends, a loaded tray on others. Worth being clear about what they don't do: helper airbags don't increase your GVM or payload; they manage ride height and stability within the vehicle's existing ratings. If the vehicle is always loaded, upgraded springs (with airbags for the variation on top) is the better setup.

Pick Standard Height (RR4527) if your ute is at factory ride height. Pick Raised 50mm (RR4748) if it runs a suspension lift — the raised kit is built for the greater distance between the leaf springs and chassis so the airbag operates in its correct working range.
The kit bolts between the rear leaf springs and chassis rails using the supplied brackets — no cutting or welding on standard installations. Air lines route to twin inflation valves so each side adjusts independently. Run minimum pressure unloaded and increase pressure to level the vehicle when towing or loaded.

Figures from Airbag Man product data. Helper kits assist the springs and do not change the vehicle's GVM or towing capacity.
It fits the Isuzu D-MAX built January 2007 to May 2012 (4x4 and 4x2 Hi-Rider), Holden Colorado RC V6 and 4x4 (2008-2012) and Holden Rodeo RA V6 and 4x4 (2003-2008) - these utes share the same rear leaf-spring design. 4x2 non-Hi-Rider models use a different kit; contact us with your rego.
This is a helper kit, not a lift kit - it does not raise the vehicle at ride height. It stops the rear sagging under load: inflate to restore factory height when towing or loaded, then drop pressure back for unloaded driving.
Standard Height (RR4527) suits a vehicle at factory ride height; Raised 50mm (RR4748) suits vehicles running a suspension lift. If unsure, send us your rego and setup and we will confirm the right kit.
No – this is the most common misconception about helper kits. Airbags manage ride height and stability within the vehicle’s existing ratings; they don’t change what it’s legally allowed to carry. We’ve written up the details in our guide: do airbags increase GVM or payload?
2 x Airbag Man air springs, upper and lower brackets, mounting hardware, air line tubing, push-in fittings, 2 x inflation valves and step-by-step fitting instructions.
No. The kit includes inflation valves, so you can set pressure at a servo or with a portable 12V compressor. An onboard air control kit only adds in-cab adjustment.
