Description

The Blackhawk Upper Control Arms are purpose-built for the Ford Ranger Next Gen (PY, 2022-on) and Ford Everest Next Gen (UA II, 2022-on), correcting camber and caster angles once you run a lift kit over 1". Heavy-duty forged arms and greasable ball joints add extended suspension travel while reducing uneven tyre wear caused by incorrect alignment at height. Pair them with our coil springs and shocks for a complete geometry-correct setup. Dispatched from Australian stock with manufacturer warranty and fitment support from our team.

Kit Includes

  • 2 x Blackhawk Heavy-Duty Upper Control Arms (Left & Right)
  • Premium polyurethane bushings pre-installed
  • Heavy-duty ball joints with grease nipples
  • All necessary mounting hardware and fasteners
  • Protective powder-coated finish for corrosion resistance
  • Installation instructions included

Features

Key Features & Performance Benefits

  • Purpose-built for the Ford Ranger Next Gen (PY) and Ford Everest Next Gen (UA II), correcting camber and caster once a lift over 1" is fitted
  • Heavy-duty forged upper arms replace the factory stamped-steel arms, which run out of adjustment range once ride height increases
  • Greasable, heavy-duty ball joints extend service life over the sealed factory unit and allow re-greasing during routine servicing
  • Revised arm geometry increases clearance, reducing the risk of CV joint and upper arm contact at full droop and full compression
  • Restores factory-correct camber and caster figures, reducing inner or outer edge tyre wear common on lifted utes and wagons
  • Improves steering feel and on-centre stability by returning caster angle closer to factory specification
  • Works alongside upgraded shock absorbers to keep geometry correct through the full range of suspension travel
  • Corrosion-resistant coating on the arm body and hardware suited to Australian conditions, including coastal and outback driving
  • Bolt-in design uses factory mounting points — no cutting or drilling required

Vehicle Compatibility & Fitment

The table below covers current fitment for this control arm. If your vehicle isn't listed, check the exact model and build date against your compliance plate before ordering.

Spring Rate Selection Guide

This is a control arm upgrade and does not include springs. If you're planning a lift on your Ranger or Everest Next Gen, spring rate should be matched to your constant accessory load rather than picked off the shelf. Consider these common load additions when speaking to our team about suspension components to run alongside this arm:

  • Steel bull bar and winch (front)
  • Bash plate and long-range fuel tank (front)
  • Canopy, drawers or dual battery tray (rear)
  • Water tank and camping gear (rear)
  • Caravan or trailer tow ball download (rear)

Installation & Setup

Fitment is a bolt-in job using the factory mounting points, but we recommend an experienced 4WD workshop or qualified fitter complete the install given the torque specs on the ball joint and pivot bolts. Wheel alignment is mandatory straight after fitting to set camber, caster and toe back to specification. Allow a 500km bed-in period for the new ball joints and bushes to settle before a final alignment check. If you're stepping up to a taller lift, check our full control arm range for matching lower arms or track bars.

Why Choose Blackhawk4x4?

Blackhawk4x4 designs suspension componentry specifically for Australian utes and wagons, with fitment worked out on local Ranger and Everest platforms rather than adapted from overseas parts. These upper control arms are backed by a manufacturer warranty and our in-house technical team for fitment questions before and after purchase. Tradespeople and tourers running lifted Rangers and Everests use this arm to keep alignment within specification once the factory arm runs out of adjustment.

Who Is This For?

This control arm suits Ranger and Everest Next Gen owners running a lift over 1" who need correct camber and caster restored, including tourers fitting long-range fuel tanks and tradespeople carrying tool boxes and canopies daily. If you're regularly carrying heavy loads or towing near GVM, our airbag suspension range can be added to manage rear sag without altering your alignment setup.

In stock in Australia and dispatched fast from our warehouse, with fitment support from our suspension team for every Ranger and Everest Next Gen build. Browse our full lift kit range to plan the rest of your suspension upgrade.

FAQs

Yes, this arm is a direct bolt-on for the Ford Ranger Next Gen (PY) and Ford Everest Next Gen (UA II), 2022 onward. It uses the factory upper mounting points, so no cutting or drilling is required. If you're unsure of your exact build date or variant, check your compliance plate or contact our team before ordering.

This arm does not add lift itself — it corrects camber and caster once a separate lift kit over 1" has been fitted. The extended geometry keeps the wheel alignment within specification at raised ride heights, where the factory arm typically runs out of adjustment. Pair it with your chosen lift kit for the correct combined result.

You get a pair of Blackhawk heavy-duty upper control arms with greasable ball joints and pivot bushes already fitted, plus mounting hardware and a fitment instruction sheet. Lower control arms, shocks, springs and lift kit components are sold separately. See the full kit contents list on this page for exact inclusions.

Yes. Correct camber and caster reduces uneven tyre wear and improves steering stability when the vehicle is loaded or towing near GVM. It doesn't change your load rating or spring rate, so pair it with the right rear springs or airbags if you're carrying heavy accessory weight or towing a caravan.

If you're running a lift kit over 1" on a Ranger or Everest Next Gen, the factory upper control arm generally can't correct camber and caster back to specification. This Blackhawk arm is built to give that extra adjustment range so your alignment can be set correctly at the raised height. Without it, you'll likely see accelerated inner or outer tyre edge wear.

Yes, wheel alignment is mandatory after fitting these control arms. Camber, caster and toe all need to be reset to specification once the arms are installed and the vehicle is sitting at its final ride height. We recommend a follow-up alignment check after a 500km bed-in period.

This product is a control arm upgrade and doesn't include springs, so spring rate selection is separate. Spring rate should be matched to your constant accessory load — bull bar, canopy, water tank or tow ball download all factor in. Speak with our team about pairing the right coil springs with this arm.

This control arm is designed to correct geometry, not create tyre clearance on its own — clearance for larger tyres comes from your lift kit and any flares fitted. Correcting camber and caster does help keep the tyre sitting flatter on the road once you've gone up a size, reducing edge wear. Confirm tyre size and offset combinations with our team for your specific Ranger or Everest setup.

This Blackhawk4x4 upper control arm is backed by a manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Our team can talk you through the exact warranty terms and process before you order. Genuine fitment support is available from our Australian-based team if you have any questions after installation.

Yes. Restoring correct camber and caster improves steering feel and on-centre stability for everyday driving, not just off-road use. Many owners running a lifted Ranger or Everest for daily commuting and weekend touring fit this arm specifically to fix the vague or heavy steering feel that comes with incorrect alignment.
