Rear leaf springs on a Ranger are a bolt-on job for an experienced DIY mechanic with a hoist, and a routine task for any suspension workshop. A wheel alignment is required afterwards because ride height changes front geometry. Allow a settling-in period of around 500km before a final alignment. Replacing the U-bolts and bushes at the same time is strongly recommended — both are available as add-ons above.
Dobinsons has been designing and manufacturing 4WD suspension in Australia for decades, with springs wound and dampers valved for local loads, corrugations and touring distances rather than adapted from an overseas market spec. Every part is backed by a Dobinsons manufacturer warranty. View the full Dobinsons range to match the rest of your build.
Ranger owners carrying a constant rear load: tradies with steel trays and toolboxes, tourers with canopies, drawers and long-range tanks, and anyone towing with meaningful ball weight. If your load varies trip to trip, airbag helper kits fitted alongside the leaf pack add adjustability.

Yes — these Dobinsons leaf packs are built for the Ford Ranger PX / PX II 2011-2018 rear axle and bolt to the factory mounts. They do not suit the Next Gen Ranger (2022-on) or Raptor models, which use different rear suspension.
Pick based on the weight that sits on the rear axle permanently — tray or canopy, drawers, water, dual battery, plus any towball weight. Aim to sit in the middle of the rated range rather than at the top. Owners running an unladen or lightly loaded ute are usually happier on a medium duty or parabolic pack for ride comfort.
Depending on the pack you select, these springs deliver roughly 2" or 3" of rear lift, or standard height on the standard-height options. Final height depends on your existing spring sag and the constant load carried. Springs settle slightly over the first 500km.
This listing includes a matched pair (2 x) of Dobinsons rear leaf springs in the option you select. The U-bolt kit, bush kit and greasable shackles & pins are optional add-ons above. New U-bolts are strongly recommended with any leaf spring change because the originals are stretched to yield on installation, and fresh bushes prevent squeaks and premature wear.
If the existing shocks have covered high mileage, yes. Raised leaf packs also change shock travel, so pairing the springs with Dobinsons rear dampers valved for the new height gives better control and longer shock life.
