This complete Tough Dog suspension kit for the Toyota Prado 120 Series Grande (2/2003 - 2009) lifts the vehicle approximately 40mm front and rear. Front struts with raised coils and a matched rear coil and shock package lift the wagon evenly and keep it settled with a full load of people and touring gear. Every part in the kit is a Tough Dog component selected for this vehicle, and the dropdowns let you set the shock type and spring rates to suit how the vehicle is used.

| Option | Choices |
|---|---|

| Rear Spring Rate | 0-300kg Load / Constant 300kg Load (+ $10.00) |
| Pre-Assembled Front Struts | Not Required / Yes (+ $180.00) |
| Upper Control Arms | Not Required / Yes (+ $645.00) |
Rate the springs to the weight the vehicle carries all the time: a steel bull bar, winch, canopy, drawers, long-range tank or service body. Camping gear, a trailer or an occasional load do not count. Going too heavy on the springs gives a harsh unladen ride and less wheel travel, so if the vehicle is between ratings, pick the lighter one and talk to us if you are unsure.
Bolt-in fitment with no cutting or welding. Pre-assembled front struts arrive built up with new strut tops so no spring compressor is needed. A wheel alignment is required after fitting. A lift of this size is within the limits most states allow without engineering, but check your local rules.

Suits the Toyota Prado 120 Series Grande (2/2003 - 2009), replacing the factory rear air suspension with coil springs. Enter your rego or select your vehicle in the parts finder on this page and we confirm the fitment before the kit ships.
The kit for the Toyota Prado 120 Series Grande (2/2003 - 2009) contains 2 x Front struts, 2 x Front coil springs, 2 x Rear coil springs, 2 x Rear shock absorbers. Everything is a Tough Dog part selected for this vehicle, so there is nothing else to buy for a standard 40mm lift. Optional upgrades (shock type, spring rates, pre-assembled struts, upper control arms) are chosen from the dropdowns above.
Approximately 40mm front and rear on the Toyota Prado 120 Series Grande with the standard spring rates. Heavier spring rates sit a little higher unladen and settle under a bull bar, canopy or constant load; the final height also varies with tyre size and the condition of the vehicle, and settles after the first few hundred kilometres.
The complete 40mm kit for the Toyota Prado 120 Series Grande is $1,566 with the standard options; a shock upgrade and heavier spring rates add the amounts shown in the dropdowns. That price covers every part listed above, so there is nothing else to buy for a standard lift, and we ship Australia-wide.
A 40mm suspension lift is within the limit most Australian states allow on a Toyota Prado 120 Series Grande without engineering approval. Some states count a tyre size increase toward the total lift, so if you are also going up a tyre size check your state's light vehicle modification rules. Keep the lift to this kit's rating and have the wheel alignment done and it stays a road-legal, insurable modification.
Choose front springs in Comfort/Medium / Constant Load and rear springs in 0-300kg Load / Constant 300kg Load to match what the Prado carries permanently: a steel bull bar and winch on the front, a canopy, drawers, tray or long-range tank on the rear. Only count gear that stays on the vehicle; camping loads and a trailer do not. Towing a caravan or heavy trailer regularly justifies the next rear rate up. If you are between ratings, take the lighter one for a better unladen ride, or call us with your setup.
Foam Cell Front & Rear shocks are the base kit and suit most daily-driven and touring vehicles. Step up to Foam Cell Front/Adjustable Rear (+$60), Adjustable Front & Rear (+$190) if the vehicle does long corrugated roads, tows or carries a constant load: Foam Cell shocks resist fade on corrugations and the adjustable options let you dial the damping up for a load and back down for empty running. Pre-assembled front struts arrive built up with the coil and a new strut top, so there is no spring compressor work and the tired factory top mounts are replaced at the same time; worth it for a home fit. Upper control arms restore the camber and castor range at 40mm of lift and are recommended with a bull bar and winch or larger tyres.
A workshop takes around 4 to 5 hours to fit this kit to a Toyota Prado 120 Series Grande, plus the wheel alignment. It is a bolt-in job with no cutting or welding, so a competent home mechanic with a hoist or solid stands, a torque wrench and basic hand tools can do it, especially with the pre-assembled strut option. Follow the torque settings in the Tough Dog fitting instructions and book the alignment straight after, or have your local 4WD suspension workshop fit it.
Fitting aftermarket suspension does not void a new-vehicle warranty on its own: under Australian Consumer Law the manufacturer must show that the part caused a specific fault before refusing a claim on that item, and the rest of the warranty is unaffected. Keep the lift within the legal limit for your state, have it fitted and aligned properly, and tell your insurer about the modification so the kit is covered. Tough Dog components are backed by the manufacturer's Australian warranty; ask us for the current terms.
. The springs settle to their final height over the first few hundred kilometres.
