Tough Dog front struts for the Mitsubishi Pajero NM, NP, NS, NT, NW and NX (May 2000 - 2021), supporting up to 40mm of front lift. Sold as a pair (2 struts), with two options from the dropdown: proven Foam Cell struts (FC404300) for fade-free touring comfort, or 9-position Adjustable struts (BM404300) so you can tune damping for load, towing and terrain. Strut only — your existing coils and strut tops are re-used, or pair them with Tough Dog raised coils for the full 40mm lift.
These are bare strut cartridges for the Mitsubishi Pajero NM-NX 2000-2021 – the damper only, for vehicles where the existing coils and strut tops are staying. If your coils are original or sagging, look at the assembled option instead so the whole corner goes back together fresh.
The Foam Cell is Tough Dog's twin-tube workhorse: a microcellular foam insert takes the place of the usual air gap inside the shock body, so the oil can't foam up as heat builds and the damping stays consistent on long corrugated stretches. The 40mm Adjustable adds 9-stage adjustable valving – run it softer for unloaded around-town driving, then firm it up when the vehicle is loaded for touring, without taking anything apart.
Sold as a pair. Strut replacement disturbs the front geometry, so a wheel alignment afterwards is part of the job.

These are bare struts: no coil spring or strut top is included. Re-use your existing coils and strut tops, or add Tough Dog raised coil springs (selected to suit your bar/winch weight) for the advertised 40mm lift. The matching rear shock for the NM-NX is the Foam Cell FC41148. Contact us and we will confirm the right combination for your setup from your rego.

Not necessarily. These are bare struts, so your existing coils and strut tops carry over. For the full 40mm lift, pair them with Tough Dog raised coil springs matched to your accessories (bar, winch). Send us your rego and setup and we will confirm the right coils.

Foam Cell is the all-round choice for touring – the foam insert stops the oil aerating so damping stays consistent on corrugations.
