Description

The Dobinsons MRA Monotube Remote Reservoir Lift Kit suits the Ford Everest Next Gen (2022-ON) and delivers a 2" to 3" lift front and rear with 3-way externally adjustable front damping. Monotube remote reservoir shocks separate oil and gas so damping stays consistent on long touring runs or under heavy tow loads, matched to vehicle-specific front and rear coil springs. Fine-tune ride firmness for towing or unladen driving without swapping shocks, and pair the kit with our control arm range for corrected geometry at ride height. In stock in Australia with Dobinsons' manufacturer warranty and fitment support from our team.

  • 2x Dobinsons Front Coil Springs
  • 2x Dobinsons Monotube Rear Shock absorbers
  • 2x Dobinsons Rear Coil Springs

Features

Key Features & Performance Benefits

  • Delivers a 2" to 3" lift front and rear on the Ford Everest Next Gen, giving clearance for larger tyres and touring gear
  • Monotube MRA (Monotube Remote Reservoir Adjustable) shock design separates oil and nitrogen gas from the working piston for reduced heat-related fade on long descents or corrugated tracks
  • 3-way externally adjustable front damping lets you tune compression and rebound for unladen touring, laden towing, or daily commuting without removing the shock
  • Remote reservoirs increase total oil volume compared to a standard twin-tube shock, supporting more consistent damping under sustained load
  • Vehicle-specific front and rear coil springs are matched to the Everest Next Gen's factory mounting points and multi-link rear geometry
  • Quality shock seals and hard-chrome shafts are specified to resist corrosion from dust and water crossings
  • Designed and tested by Dobinsons in Australia, a market where towing and rough-road use is the norm rather than the exception
  • Works alongside our shock absorber range and coil spring range if you need replacement components down the track
  • Improves control and reduces sag when carrying a bull bar, winch, or canopy without needing a harsher base ride

Spring Rate Selection Guide

Choose your front and rear spring rate based on the constant accessory load your Everest carries day to day, not just an occasional heavy trip. Front load contributors include a steel bull bar, winch, and driving lights, while rear load contributors include a canopy, drawer system, water tanks, and tow bar assembly. Tell our team what's fitted or planned and we'll match the spring rate so the vehicle sits level, front and rear, once loaded.

Installation & Setup

This kit involves shock, spring, and remote reservoir bracket fitment, and is best carried out by an experienced 4WD suspension installer or a competent DIY fitter with proper tools. Wheel alignment is mandatory after installation to correct camber, caster and toe at the new ride height. Allow a 500km bedding-in period for springs and shock seals to settle before final assessment of ride height. Many owners fit new control arm upgrades at the same time to correct upper control arm geometry and restore factory-plus CV joint angles.

Why Choose Dobinsons?

Dobinsons has been developing 4WD suspension in Australia for decades, with local testing on the conditions this kit will actually see — corrugations, sand, and sustained towing. The MRA range carries Dobinsons' manufacturer warranty and is backed by our own fitment support if you have questions before or after installation. Tourers and tradespeople both run this platform because it separates adjustment from replacement — you tune the damping rather than buying new shocks. View the full Dobinsons range for matching components.

Who Is This For?

This kit suits Everest Next Gen owners who tow a caravan or trailer regularly, run a canopy and drawer system for work, or tour with roof top tents and long-range fuel and water. If your accessory load is at the heavier end and more consistent than occasional, it's worth comparing this coil-spring kit against our airbag suspension options for load-levelling support.

In stock in Australia and dispatched from local stock, with fitment advice from our in-house team before you buy. Browse our full lift kit range to compare options for your Everest.

FAQs

Yes, this Dobinsons MRA kit is built specifically for the Ford Everest Next Gen (U704), sold in Australia from 2022 onward. Front and rear coil springs and shock mounts are matched to the Next Gen's factory geometry, not the earlier PX-series Everest. If you're unsure which generation you have, check your build plate or contact our team with your VIN before ordering. We can confirm exact fitment against your specific variant, including Ambiente, Trend, Sport and Titanium trims.

This kit provides a 2" to 3" lift front and rear on the Ford Everest Next Gen, depending on the spring rate selected and the vehicle's accessory load. A lighter-loaded vehicle typically sits toward the 3" end, while a heavily accessorised vehicle with a bull bar and canopy will settle closer to 2" once bedded in. Final ride height is also affected by tyre size and any weight distribution across the chassis. Our team can help estimate your likely ride height based on your accessory list.

Please note that all assembled struts are dispatched at a height based on our experience and the manufacturer’s specifications for the advertised lift. Coil springs and leaf springs are also manufactured according to the advertised height and constant-load rating. Actual vehicle height may vary depending on the vehicle and the weight of fitted accessories. Further adjustment may therefore be required after installation. The installer may use coil spacers or adjust the struts at their discretion to achieve the desired height. We are not responsible for vehicle-specific height variations or any additional adjustments required after installation.

The kit includes 2 front and 2 rear Dobinsons MRA monotube remote reservoir shock absorbers, with the front shocks featuring 3-way external adjustment. It also includes 2 front and 2 rear vehicle-specific coil springs, remote reservoir mounting brackets, and the shock bushes and hardware needed for fitment. Upper control arms are sold separately, as many Everest Next Gen owners choose to upgrade these at the same time for corrected geometry. Full fitting instructions are included in the box.

Yes, this is a common reason customers choose the MRA kit for the Everest Next Gen. The remote reservoir design increases oil volume over a standard shock, supporting more consistent damping when towing a caravan or trailer over longer distances. Selecting a firmer rear spring rate to match your constant tow ball load and accessory weight will keep the rear from sagging under hitch weight. Tell us your caravan's tow ball mass and we'll help match the spring rate accordingly.

It depends on how much lift you run and how the vehicle is used. At 2" to 3" of lift, factory upper control arms can run out of adjustment range and load CV joints at a steeper angle than standard. Fitting upgraded control arms restores correct camber and caster range and reduces uneven tyre wear. We recommend budgeting for this upgrade alongside the lift kit rather than as an afterthought.

Yes, wheel alignment is mandatory after installing this kit. Changing ride height alters camber, caster and toe from factory specification, and driving on an unaligned vehicle accelerates tyre wear and affects handling. Have the alignment done after the recommended 500km bedding-in period so springs and shock seals have settled to their working position. This also gives your installer a stable ride height to align against.

Yes, Dobinsons offers spring rate options for the Everest Next Gen to suit different constant accessory loads. Front rate selection accounts for a bull bar and winch, while rear rate selection accounts for a canopy, drawers, water tanks and tow bar weight. Tell us what's fitted to your vehicle, or planned, and our team will recommend the closest matching spring rate before you order. Getting this right keeps the vehicle sitting level front to rear once loaded.

A 2" to 3" lift on the Everest Next Gen typically creates clearance for a moderate tyre size increase over factory, though exact clearance depends on wheel offset and width as well as any flares fitted. We recommend confirming your intended tyre size and wheel specification with our team before purchase, since rubbing points can vary between Everest Next Gen variants. Combining this kit with correctly matched control arm geometry also helps maximise usable clearance.

This kit is covered by Dobinsons' manufacturer warranty, which applies to the shocks and springs supplied in this kit. Full warranty terms are confirmed at the time of purchase and cover manufacturing defects under normal 4WD use. If you have a warranty question on a fitted kit, contact our team directly and we'll help process it with Dobinsons on your behalf. Keep your proof of purchase and fitment date for any warranty claim.

Yes, the 3-way adjustable front damping is specifically useful for daily driven Everests that also tow or tour occasionally. You can set a softer damping setting for unladen commuting and firm it up for towing weekends without changing components. Choosing a spring rate matched to your unladen accessory weight, rather than your heaviest occasional load, keeps everyday ride quality comfortable. Our team can help you pick a setup that balances daily comfort with occasional heavy use.
