Complete Tough Dog suspension kit for the Nissan Patrol GU Y61 Wagon 1997-2016, front and rear in one package, lifting the vehicle approximately 5" (125mm). Build the kit from the dropdowns below and every component is matched to that height and load.
Tough Dog build suspension for 4WDs only, so the valving and spring rates are set for corrugations, load and heat rather than showroom ride. Once a bull bar, winch, drawers, a long-range tank or a canopy goes on a Patrol the factory suspension sags and runs out of control quickly. This kit puts the ride height and damping back where they should be, and every part in it is the same Tough Dog component we sell individually for the Patrol.

Shocks. At this lift height the kit is built on Tough Dog's 45mm big-bore 9-position Adjustable shocks front and rear, giving the travel and oil volume the taller springs need and damping you can tune between unladen driving and loaded touring.
Front spring rate. Comfort/Medium suits a standard front end, an alloy bar or a steel bar without a winch. Constant Load suits a steel bull bar with a winch fitted permanently.
Rear spring rate. 0-300kg suits a wagon with variable loads. Constant 300kg is for a touring fit-out, long-range tank or rear bar that never comes off.
Castor correction. Bushes cannot correct enough castor at this height, so the kit uses 5 degree castor correction plates on the radius arms.
Panhard rods and transmission spacer. Both are included. The adjustable rods re-centre the axles and the transmission spacer restores the driveline angles.
Brake system. Extended rubber brake hoses are included - choose Non ABS (2 hoses), ABS (3 hoses) or Stability Control (4 hoses) to match your Patrol.
Series. Select Series 1 or Series 2 onwards so the correct panhard rod bush size is supplied.
Lift height and the law: suspension lifts above 50mm are regulated differently in each state and territory and may need an engineering certificate or a modification plate. Check your local rules before ordering a kit above 2 inches.

Bolt-in installation with no cutting or welding. A wheel alignment is required after fitting, and the castor correction supplied in the kit must be set during that alignment. Tough Dog require their fitting sheet to be completed at installation to keep the warranty intact. Please note that all shocks, coil springs and leaf springs are supplied to the advertised lift height and constant-load rating. Actual vehicle height may vary with the vehicle, its condition and the weight of fitted accessories, so further adjustment may be required after installation.
Yes - it suits all coil-sprung Nissan Patrol GU Y61 wagons from 12/1997 to 2016, Series 1 through to Series 4, with the TB45E, TB48, TD42, RD28 and ZD30 engines. Select your series in the dropdown so the correct steering and panhard parts are supplied. It does not suit the leaf-rear GU cab chassis, which has its own kit.

Offset bushes can only correct a few degrees. At 125mm of lift the radius arms need the 5 degree castor correction plates included in this kit to bring the steering geometry back to a safe, self-centring setting.

A 125mm lift is well above the uncertified limit in every Australian state and territory and needs an engineering certificate or modification plate, and some jurisdictions cap total lift. Check your local requirements before ordering and we can point you to an engineer.
Yes. The lift changes castor, camber and toe, so book an alignment straight after fitment and have the castor plates and panhard rods set at the same time.
