Please note that all assembled struts are dispatched at a height based on our experience and the manufacturer’s specifications for the advertised lift. Coil springs and leaf springs are also manufactured according to the advertised height and constant-load rating. Actual vehicle height may vary depending on the vehicle and the weight of fitted accessories. Further adjustment may therefore be required after installation. The installer may use coil spacers or adjust the struts at their discretion to achieve the desired height. We are not responsible for vehicle-specific height variations or any additional adjustments required after installation.
The kit includes 2 x Dobinsons Nitro Gas front shocks, 2 x Nitro Gas rear shocks, 2 x 2" raised front coil springs and 2 x 2" raised rear leaf springs. It also comes with U-bolt kits, greasable shackle bushes for the rear leaf pack, mounting hardware and Dobinsons fitting instructions. Caster correction components (offset radius arm bushes or adjustable radius arms), an adjustable front panhard rod, extended brake lines and a steering damper are not included and are sold separately.
Yes, the rear leaf springs in this kit can be matched to your typical constant tow ball load so the rear doesn't sag when hitched up. For heavier or variable towing loads, such as swapping between an empty trailer and a loaded caravan, our airbag suspension can be added on top of this kit for adjustable load levelling. The 79 Series has a solid front axle on coil springs, located by radius arms and a panhard rod, so there are no upper or lower control arms to upgrade like an IFS vehicle. At 2" of lift the caster change is mild and most owners run the kit as supplied. If the steering feels light or the vehicle wanders after fitting, offset radius arm caster bushes restore steering feel and an adjustable front panhard rod re-centres the axle under the vehicle.
