The Bilstein 2" Front Lift Kit for the Isuzu D-Max RG (08/2020-On) pairs B6 Offroad monotube shock absorbers with King Springs coil springs for a true 2" front lift over standard ride height. The monotube design keeps oil and gas separated in one tube, giving consistent damping on corrugations and highway trips. Heavy duty strut top mounts are included for a direct bolt-in fit, and the kit arrives pre-assembled from our lift kit range. Backed by Bilstein's manufacturer warranty, in stock now with fitment support from our Australian team.

This kit uses a single standard-rate King Springs front coil matched to the D-Max RG's factory front weight distribution. Front spring rate is not typically varied for accessory load the way rear leaf springs or airbags are, because bull bars and winches are the main front-end additions. If you're running a heavy steel bar and winch combination, ask our team about spring rate options to suit the extra front weight.
Fitment should be carried out by an experienced 4WD suspension installer or qualified workshop. Wheel alignment is mandatory after fitting because the 2" lift changes front castor and camber angles. Allow a 500km bedding-in period for the King Springs coil springs to settle to their final ride height. For corrected front-end geometry at the higher ride height, pair this kit with upgraded control arms.
Bilstein has manufactured monotube shock absorbers since the 1950s and supplies OE-fitment dampers to multiple 4WD and ute manufacturers. The B6 Offroad shock in this kit is developed and warranted for the D-Max RG specifically, not a generic re-valve of an existing shock. This kit suits D-Max RG owners wanting a factory-style 2" front lift for larger tyres and off-road clearance without a harsh change in ride quality. Tradespeople running a front bar or winch, and tourers wanting matched front-to-rear geometry alongside airbag suspension for towing, are the main fit for this kit.

This kit is designed specifically for Isuzu D-Max RG models built from August 2020 onward. It uses the B6 Offroad shock and King Springs coil spring pairing engineered for the RG's front strut mounting points, not earlier D-Max generations. If you're unsure of your build date, check your compliance plate or use our parts finder for the D-Max RG. Contact our team to confirm fitment if your vehicle has any factory modifications.
This kit provides a 2" front lift over standard ride height, achieved through the King Springs raised coil springs paired with the matched-length Bilstein B6 Offroad shock. It is a front-only kit, so rear ride height stays unchanged unless you also fit a rear leaf spring or airbag upgrade. The 2" figure is measured at the front wheel arch against factory ride height.
Please note that all assembled struts are dispatched at a height based on our experience and the manufacturer’s specifications for the advertised lift. Coil springs and leaf springs are also manufactured according to the advertised height and constant-load rating. Actual vehicle height may vary depending on the vehicle and the weight of fitted accessories. Further adjustment may therefore be required after installation. The installer may use coil spacers or adjust the struts at their discretion to achieve the desired height. We are not responsible for vehicle-specific height variations or any additional adjustments required after installation.
The kit includes 2 x Bilstein B6 Offroad front monotube shock absorbers, 2 x King Springs raised front coil springs, 2 x heavy duty strut top mounts, mounting hardware and fitment instructions. Rear springs, control arms and steering dampers are not included and are sold separately. See the kit contents list on this page for exact quantities.
This is a front-lift kit and does not itself increase rear load or towing capacity. For towing, pair it with a rear leaf spring or airbag suspension upgrade rated for your tow ball load and payload. Ask our team for a rear spring recommendation matched to this front kit and your typical towing weight.
A 2" front lift can be run on factory control arms, but front-end geometry — castor and camber — is improved with upgraded control arms at this ride height. We recommend adding aftermarket control arms if you're also fitting larger tyres or doing regular off-road driving. See our control arm range for D-Max RG specific options.
Yes. Wheel alignment is mandatory after installing this kit because the 2" front lift changes front castor and camber angles. Skipping alignment will cause uneven tyre wear and can affect steering feel and stability. Book alignment immediately after fitment, ideally at the same workshop.
This kit is supplied with a single standard King Springs front coil rate matched to the D-Max RG's factory front weight. Front spring rate is not typically varied unless you're running a heavy bull bar or winch combination. Contact our team if you have significant added front-end weight so we can confirm the correct spring option for your setup.
The 2" front lift creates additional front clearance for larger tyres, commonly up to 33-inch, subject to rim offset and rear clearance. Rear tyre clearance depends on your rear suspension setup, so check your rear spring or airbag combination as well. Fender trimming may still be needed for some larger tyre and wheel combinations.
This kit is covered by Bilstein's manufacturer warranty on the B6 Offroad shock absorbers, and King Springs' manufacturer warranty on the coil springs. Contact our team for exact warranty terms and the claim process. Keep your purchase invoice as proof of purchase for any warranty claim.
Yes. The B6 Offroad shock is a non-adjustable, factory-style valved shock designed to keep comfortable on-road manners while adding off-road capability at the 2" lift height. Many owners run this kit as a daily commuter and weekend touring setup without needing to switch shocks. Ride quality is close to factory with the added front lift.
